About Kunal Chatterjee

Kunal Chatterjee is Vice President and the Head of Innovation, Asia Pacific for Visa. He and his team are responsible for leading the invention and prototyping of new products and solutions at the Visa Innovation Centers and studios in Asia Pacific that are shaping the future of commerce. Prior to this appointment, Kunal Chatterjee was Visa’s Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei. As the Country Manager for these two markets, he was responsible for the overall country strategy and innovation roadmap, growth priorities and P&L of the business. Kunal Chatterjee has spent more than 14 years at Visa, where he held multiple roles including Vice President for Global Client Management, where he led Visa’s global account team for Citibank in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He was responsible for managing Visa’s relationship with Citibank across 13 markets including P&L responsibility for consumer credit, debit and commercial payments. He also led the debit consulting practice for Visa Consulting across Asia Pacific and specialised in portfolio segmentation and client strategy across South East Asia. Before joining Visa, Kunal Chatterjee was the lead consultant for an analytics consulting firm where Visa and other large financial institutions were his clients. He also worked for IDBI Bank and ICICI Bank amongst others, in different management roles, which included product, sales and strategy functions. Kunal Chatterjee holds an MBA with Distinction from Newcastle University, United Kingdom, with emphasis in Finance, E-Business and Organisational Learning. He also completed his Bachelor of Economics with Honors from Delhi University, India.
