About Kilian Thalhammer

Kilian Thalhammer, As the Managing Director and Global Head of Merchant Solutions - Fintech and Platform Sales at Deutsche Bank,  he is responsible for driving the growth and innovation of the bank's (card-) issuing and acceptance business across the world, particularly with FinTech, Marketplace, and platform clients. His role also includes the embedded finance strategy and go-to-market initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in the payment industry, Kilian Thalhammer has led teams and projects in product management, business development, key account management, sales, and consulting. He has a proven track record of delivering value-added solutions for customers and partners, leveraging his expertise in FinTech, crypto, blockchain, DeFi, DLT, loyalty, embedded finance, risk management, outsourcing, customer management, CRM, and e-commerce. In addition to his current role at Deutsche Bank, he is an active investor, advisor, and board member for several start-ups, funds, and organizations in the FinTech and crypto space. His involvement includes companies and initiatives such as Pagateq, Mastercard, EURO Kartensysteme, Payment & Banking, Creandum, Possible Ventures, CUSP, Planet A, Peach Payments, Picus Capital, CyberDirekt, SatoshiPay, Consumer Edge, BITKOM, Baufi24, Lodgify, and Stocard. He also hosts several events and platforms that connect and educate the FinTech and crypto community, including Payment Exchange (PEX) & Banking Exchange (BEX). His mission is to support and empower the next generation of FinTech and crypto entrepreneurs and innovators while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among industry stakeholders.
