About Katie Brain

I joined Defaqto in 2007 as a banking researcher, before becoming the Research Manager for Banking, with my team being responsible for maintaining data on mortgages, savings and lending products. In 2018 I joined the Insight Team as the Insight Support Consultant for Banking. Prior to joining Defaqto, I worked for a number of years within the banking industry, working at Halifax as a mortgage adviser, and previously as a customer service adviser for Coventry Building Society and Chelsea Building Society. As a banking specialist, I have a deep understanding of Banking data and responsibility for supporting all aspects of activity within the Insight Team, including Star Ratings, data development, client support, and press activity. I hold the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, Papers 1-3.
