About Kathryn Cox

Kathryn is a reinsurance professional whose career has grown and developed through a variety of roles within RGA since she joined the organization in 1991 when it was the reinsurance division of General American. Kathryn is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), successfully completed the CPA exam in Missouri, and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). A graduate of Maryville University, her career began in pricing, and includes a path through experience studies where she did extensive work rewriting existing programs and analyzing results, valuation, and an overseas assignment in Sydney, Australia. While in Australia, Kathryn was exposed to a variety of non-traditional actuarial roles and returned to the US as manager of RGA’s US, Canadian, and International retrocession program. This led naturally to a Business Development role with responsibility for the US Midwest region and to her current position as Head of Business Development. Kathryn has served as the actuarial liaison for the AHOU Program Committee, Chair of the College of Arts and Sciences National Leadership Council at Maryville University, Co-Chair of RGA’s food drive for Operation Food Search, and many other activities.
