Jorge Valdivia is General Manager of Brazil at Fiserv, Inc., a leading global provider of payments and financial technology. In this role, which he has held since 2022, He is responsible for the company's operations and results in the country. This includes accelerating organic growth as Fiserv begins a new cycle of maturity in the strategic Brazilian market.
Prior to assuming his current position, Jorge Valdivia was Senior Vice President Merchants & Acquiring for Latin America at Fiserv. He has helped merchants of all sizes integrate technology solutions to grow and manage their businesses more efficiently. These solutions include Acquiring as a Service, the Clover ® cloud-based point-of-sale and enterprise management platform , and Carat, a global commerce platform that optimizes payments and experiences for the world’s largest companies.
Jorge Valdivia joined Fiserv through the combination with First Data in 2019, and served as CIO for Latin America, working on developing technology platforms for the company’s retail, financial institutions and issuance businesses. He joined First Data in 2017.
Previously, Jorge Valdivia worked for Citi in the United States as LATAM Technology Head, responsible for managing the company's technology for the region in the institutional banking group, and for Citi in Chile as IT Regional Head. He was also CIO of Banco de Chile, responsible for managing the company's information technology systems.
Jorge Valdivia holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Santiago de Chile and an MBA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
