Joaquin Ayuso de Paul, graduated from ICAI, Spain, with a CS degree, collaborated with their Technology Research department for the last of those 2 years. After this research adventure in distributed calculations, he founded the most prominent Social Network in Spain, Tuenti.com.
The challenge was to beat the already installed social networks MySpace, Hi5, and Facebook. The goal was to create a different place for people with stronger privacy and reliability, the fastest service, and the simplest.
Glass was the next adventure, where he was not only helping with his experience at Tuenti and his background but also with investment made since their very first round.
Later, he started a new company, Kuapay, Inc., with some of the engineers that helped on the creation of Tuenti.com in its early stages. Kuapay is a mobile payment system unlike any seen before.
He launched the first global bank account in the digital banking world with Denizen and BBVA—a digital-only banking application for expats between Europe and the US.
