About Jeff Fagnan

Jeff Fagnan is a founder of Accomplice (the technology team FKA Atlas Venture), where he focuses on emerging companies in enterprise and Internet infrastructure. Jeff is well known as a founding investor, working with many companies since inception and playing an instrumental role in developing portfolio companies’ initial business plans and go-to-market strategies. Jeff incubated Carbon Black, angel funded and seeded AngelList, and co-founded Abine and Veracode. Jeff led Atlas’ investment in Wanelo; sits on the board of DataXu, Freshbooks, Hopper, Integral Ad Science, Learnist, Skillz, Lexumo, and Appcues; and is responsible for leading the initial seed rounds in Hopper, InsightSquared, Whoop, and Keas. He is also founder of Maiden Lane, the first investment vehicle built on top of AngelList, and of Boston Syndicates (BOSS), a movement designed to turn successful founders into serial angel investors. Prior to joining Atlas in 2004, Jeff was a partner with Seed Capital Partners where he focused on spinning innovation out of MIT and Harvard. While at Seed Capital, Jeff was the lead and founding investor in several companies including DataPower Technology (acquired by IBM) and Polychromix (acquired by ThermoFisher). Before venture, Jeff worked for Booz Allen Hamilton and Nortel Networks. Jeff Fagnan is founder and president of TUGG (Technology Underwriting Greater Good), a nonprofit foundation harnessing the power of the tech ecosystem to catalyze social innovation in New England. Jeff received an MBA with distinction from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, and a BS from the University of Alaska.
