About Javier Saade

Javier is Venture Partner at Fenway Summer, Partner at Impact Master Holdings, Director of SoftBank’s SVF Investment Corp (NASDAQ:SVFA) and Porch (NASDAQ:PRCH), and Chairman of the Board of GP Funding, Inc., a private equity owned company. On Sep 2021, the President nominated Javier to be Chairman of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board subject to Senate confirmation. Until recently he held seats on the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy, Board of Trustees of Pan American Development Foundation, Global Advisory Board of Docusign, Inc. (NASDAQ: DOCU), Corporate Responsibility Board of Univision, Board of Directors of Foundation for Puerto Rico and Board of Advisors of Harvard’s Rock Center for Entrepreneurship. Previously, Javier was appointed by the White House to serve as Associate Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and was its Chief of Investment and Innovation. He led the SBIC, SBIR and STTR programs which have collectively invested over $120 billion in 300,000 American companies, startups and technologies since inception. He also held a seat on the Committee for Small and Emerging Companies at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). Before public service, he spent 20 years in operating, investing and leadership roles at McKinsey & Co, Bridgewater Associates, Booz Allen (NYSE:BAH) and Abbott Labs (NYSE:ABT). Over his career, Javier has been a director of several organizations, was Mentor at Techstars and Kauffman Foundation, served as Executive in Residence at Columbia Technology Ventures and was Senior Fellow at Georgetown’s Beeck Center. Javier frequently writes and speaks about the economy, digital finance, venture capital, sustainability, diversity, leadership, policy, growth & impact investing, entrepreneurship and capital stewardship. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, MS in Operations & Technology from Illinois Institute of Technology and BS in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
