Experienced tech professional who has set up his own consultancy focused on helping startups fundraise, decide and execute on their strategy, launch new territories as well as optimise operations. Before this, he spent 2 years at Cargo leading both their Corporate Development and International business. Whilst there, he helped the company raise $30m+ in 2 rounds, launch and scale the business in Mexico and Brazil, sign a global partnership with Uber as well as signing SaaS agreements with leading ridehail companies across Asia and the Middle East. Prior to that he worked at Gett for over 3 years initially in their strategy team before moving to the Corporate Development team. Whilst there, James played a lead role in the raising of $400m in two processes whilst completing four acquisitions. His background before tech mobility was in investment banking and strategy where he learnt strategy, business planning, P&L ownership, fundraising and M&A amongst other skills. Also a successful entrepreneur having founded iSwapBooks whilst at University which became the largest student book buying and selling site in the UK. He is highly innovative and creative whilst able to get things done at speed. This combination of an entrepreneurial background alongside an analytical background allows him to achieve big results. He is also a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with first time passes having started his career at Deloitte.
