As President and CEO of HSB, I lead over 2,700 employees providing specialty insurance and engineering service to clients in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland. In addition, Managing Director Munich Re Global IoT practice driving technology, engineering and financial to provide unique business models, services and solutions for industrial markets. As part of my Munich Re IoT leadership role, I serve as Chairman of the Board & Interim CEO of relayr, a global Industrial IoT technology company acquired by HSB in 2018 that delivers IoT business outcomes for mid-sized commercial and industrial firms. I founded Munich Re Ventures, Munich Re’s venture capital arm, which invests in and partners with innovative tech companies to develop growth opportunities for Munich Re businesses including HSB and Munich Re Group. In addition, I'm chairman of HSB Solomon Associates, LLC, the leading performance improvement company for the global energy industry. I serve on the Munich Re US P&C Operations Executive Board and on the boards of HSB insurance affiliates in Canada and the U.K. I'm a member of the Shareholder Committee for FlexFactory (A MHP | Munich Re | Porsche Joint Venture) and also on the board of directors for Hartford Healthcare.
