Grant has over 20 years of hands-on experience in the financial services sector, specialising in the Frontier and Emerging market of Africa. Having held various C-suite roles throughout his career, Grant Flanagan has developed a demonstrable track record of investment excellence, service provision and strategic delivery across the African continent. His diversity, openness to change and opportunities, compliments his natural flair for building, advising and leading companies across a range of industries and sectors. Areas of expertise include Asset Management; African Equities; Trade Finance; Property; Private Equity; Fixed Income; Finance and Structuring; Strategic Operations; Driving Collaboration and Establishing Future-fit Organisations. Grant is Chief Executive of Atria Africa. He began his career with Fleming Asset Management Zimbabwe in 2002, becoming Managing Director and CIO in its latter incarnation. In addition to being Fund Manager of the firm’s flagship African equities fund, he oversaw the re-emergence of a vibrant corporate bond market in Zimbabwe and has extensive research and investment experience in Africa. Grant Flanagan, based in Mauritius, is currently a Executive Director at GEM Holdings Ltd. Grant Flanagan brings experience from previous roles at EFT Corporation Ltd, Atria Africa and Imara Asset Management. Grant Flanagan holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accounting and Business/Management @ University of Exeter.
