About Glenn Solomon

I have been a VC for 20+ years, the last fourteen with GGV Capital. I love working with growing companies, and I’m at my best when serving as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and management teams who are endeavoring to build great companies. Earlier in my career, during my time at Goldman Sachs, I learned how important it is to deliver on clients’ needs; I have tried to bring this commitment to my portfolio companies ever since. At GGV, my partners and I invest in companies with the potential to lead their markets. I spend lots of time in Markets outside the Bay Area, including NY, Boston, Austin, Israel, Asia and elsewhere. This “local plus global” perspective is something I actively cultivate because I think it helps my portfolio companies. As a member of three-time NCAA National Championship tennis teams while at Stanford, I learned about the importance of teamwork. The lessons carry over today in my work with GGV, which truly is a partnership of intelligent, talented and pracitical people able to put their egos aside to join in a commitment to fostering the entrepreneur's success.
