About Gabriel Le Roux
I am the co-founder of Primer. Prior to founding Primer and for five years, I worked at Braintree, a PayPal division. There I was exposed to the ever-growing challenges of the online payment industry and held several positions in London and San Francisco.
In London, I was part of the EMEA sales organisation, where I was Head of Startup Growth. My role consisted of growing Braintree’s footprint in the European startup ecosystem. I also worked very closely with the enterprise sales team and managed several key large customers with global footprints. In my last position in San Francisco, I was a Product Owner and Global Business Development Manager for Braintree’s new and highly strategic commerce infrastructure tools.
Previous to my work at Braintree, I worked at several Rocket Internet ventures in Germany and Asia at Easytaxi Korea and the Global Savings Group in Germany.
I am originally from France, where I lived until the age of 10. I then lived in 9 countries and now shares my time between London and Paris. I earned a bachelor degree in International Economics, Management and Finance from the Bocconi University in Milan and a Master Degree in Management with Digital Business specialisation from the IE Business School in Madrid. Throughout my studies, I also spent time in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and in South Korea at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
