About Fielding Norton

Making insurance climate-smart at FutureProof, a start-up insurtech that is rethinking how we price climate risk. To this role, I bring years of deep climate physics research and over 25 years of strategic and operational leadership experience in the specialty insurance sector. Before FutureProof, my leadership of underwriting, pricing, and enterprise risk management teams across a wide range of property & casualty insurance companies (small/large, start-up/mature, private/public) has repeatedly built franchise value that culminated in large M&A transactions. Some designations that I achieved along the way include Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Harvard's Derek Bok Award for Distinction in Teaching (8 times). My wife Lori and I love to combine travel and volunteer work, and often team up with other volunteers on 1-2 week blitzes to build affordable homes in countries like the US, Honduras, Romania, Portugal, and Jordan. A former gymnast, I try not to let a day go by without a (preferably outdoor) activity like cycling, HIIT, hiking, swimming, golfing, or skiing.
