Liz Kirby is a Managing Director and Head of Market Structure at Tradeweb Markets, representing the company on matters concerning market structure evolution and associated regulatory change. She is a leading voice for electronic trading in fixed income and derivatives markets. Prior to her current role, Kirby was Head of U.S. Rates Product & Strategy at Tradeweb, where she focused on the development of the electronic trading business for U.S. markets and was an integral part of the Tradeweb team that developed and launched the firm’s leading swap execution facilities (SEFs), supporting electronic trading of derivatives as mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act. Tradeweb is a leading marketplace for institutional Treasury, mortgage and swaps trading, and Tradeweb’s Swap Execution Facility (SEF) has done over $185 trillion in USD equivalent notional value since 2013 and is currently the leading platform for vanilla swaps. Before joining Tradeweb, Kirby worked in the Capital Markets Structuring group at BNP Paribas. Kirby holds a B.S. in Finance from Boston College and earned her M.S. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. Kirby is a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Market Risk Advisory Committee. She has served as a speaker at numerous industry events, including ISDA North America, the FIA-SIFMA Asset Management Derivatives Forum and the Fixed Income Leaders Summit
