In 2017, Dmytro Dubilet co-founded Monobank, Ukraine’s first mobile-only bank. In just 10 months, they reached 450,000 customers, with 80% joining through word of mouth. Customers love the bank for offering many services either for free or at significantly lower costs compared to other banks, thanks to its virtual business model, and for having a highly engaging mobile app.
He also leads a non-profit organization, iGov, which supports the Government of Ukraine in operating e-services, helping the country combat inefficiency and corruption.
Before launching Monobank, he served as CIO/CTO at Privatbank, one of the largest banks in Eastern Europe. Prior to that, he earned an MBA from London Business School.
Dmytro Dubilet is recognized as one of Ukraine’s top bloggers, with over 150,000 regular followers. The Financial Times and Google included him in "The New Europe 100" list, and in 2016, Forbes Ukraine nominated him for its “30 under 30” list, describing him as “a young innovator and IT specialist, driven by the possibility of doing something important and necessary.”
One of the success factors behind his projects, he humorously notes, is his cat, who, in his view, is the one deserving of the nominations and accolades.
