About Davide Calì

I am an Italian founder, investor, advisor, and researcher working in the ICT field for more than 25 years. As founding partner I successfully contributed to launch 3 startups (one up to a 3,5 B$ Pre IPO in 2000), and few IT and R&D services companies. In may 2021 I cofounded CrossFund with the purpose to help democratize the early stage investment market both for Angels and Founders that already helped 75 companies to raise capital and it is already the leading investment platform in Asia. As advisor I mentored and tutored more than 100 startups, and fostered a community of more than 200 founders. In 2016 I cofounded Expand a Deep Tech Accelerator in HK. My scientific interests include: Artificial Intelligence, NLP, Robotics, GIS, and CHI. I coauthored several scientific papers, I was speaker in many international conferences, I organized the European Online Forum at Waic, and cofounded ECF.ai (Euro -China Fedration for Ai). I was consulting and leading several research projects (some originated international patents). As manager I have an extensive experience in different areas: Executive, Technical, Product and Innovation. As CTO I successfully delivered more than 500 IT projects for small and large corporations. I moved to Shanghai in 2015 first then in Ho Chi Minh in 2022 to better focus on Asia, the fastest growing market and the future epicenter of the World Economy.
