About David Cordero

David Cordero has more than 27 years’ experience working in financial services and is currently leading Accenture Financial Services Industry Group in Europe. He has successfully led transformation programs for leading international banking groups. Specifically, David has hands on experience reinventing key domains like core banking transformation, data & AI including Gen AI strategic programs, retail banking operations, digital sales and marketing and technology strategy and operating models. He is also BBVA Global Client Account Lead. His passion and long-term goal is working with banking industry leaders across the world, shaping the emerging technological and social disruptive forces to create amazing impacts in users and customers through data native products and services. David Cordero enjoys sharing his views and working around transformational concepts like trust, information asymmetry, data variability, and value as key building blocks of the future long-term viable businesses. His leadership style is focused on developing an “everything is possible” mindset across organizations, creating working environments in which teams can take the responsibility to thrive—always looking for alternatives, learning how to make the right questions. He leads by example and enjoys assembling and leading “purpose-driven” multidisciplinary agile teams (creative technologists, service designers, data scientists, sociologists) to incubate and deploy exponential growth initiatives.
