About David Callington

With over 35 years experience in the financial services industry, David Callington currently has responsibility for fraud across HSBC UK, First Direct and M&S Bank. He is also the current Chair of UK Finance’s Fraud Committee and sits as a member of the Advisory Board of Cifas, the UK’s fraud prevention community. David Callington has previously held senior fraud roles at Lloyds Banking Group, including Group Fraud Director and Fraud Insight & Analytics Director. In addition to his responsibilities whilst at Lloyds, David sat on the Board of Directors of Financial Fraud Action UK, the industry body that worked collaboratively to protect UK consumers and businesses from fraud and the Home Office led UK's Joint Fraud Taskforce Management Board. His roles have seen him obtain significant experience in the card, acquisition, retail & commercial banking and first party fraud arena which has included sitting on various industry bodies such as the Visa UK Risk Working Group and MasterCard UK Security Committee.
