Summary
It is undeniable—technology drives the automotive industry. With software that puts manufacturers in the fast lane and with telematic tools that enable connected driving, the sector is poised for continued growth and disruption. New, niche players in the form of auto tech startups are challenging the way things have been done and are creating new solutions for today’s problems. As a veteran of the industry and with a comprehensive understanding of how automation, artificial intelligence, and data and analytics are transforming it, I bring a unique perspective to my work.
In my role with Solera Holdings, I maintained accountability for a portfolio of SaaS companies that provided data and analytics to the automotive market. As managing director, I exceeded EBITDA plan for 3 consecutive years and delivered 5%+ growth in core vertical segments. I also generated 99.2% of the 2020 sales plan despite the COVID-19 pandemic and realized 104.3% of EBITDA. In a previous role with ALLDATA, I revitalized the sales team and delivered a 23% increase in sales over a six-month period. None of these successes would have been possible without the efforts of the incredible team members with whom I worked. I find that by setting expectations high and granting people wide latitude to achieve, everyone benefits.
