About Chris Conway

I have a passion for technology and like nothing more than working with strong, energised teams to deliver value. This paired with the ability to provide strong leadership through clarity of vision and developing diverse capability in my teams, has enabled a varied and successful career. I have always had an interest in all things digital and strive to incorporate innovation into everything I do. This might be something as simple a process automation, a major rearchitecture to a cloud platform, or an overhaul of a team to meet a new strategic direction. I am a trusted strategic partner with my business stakeholders. Over the years, these partnerships have been with trading heads, finance and risk leaders , ExCo members and global change leaders. I pride myself in working to really understand the required outcomes and helping to shape solutions to ensure these are achieved and measurable. Relationships are paramount to me, and as such work hard to build trust with everyone I encounter, while continuing to learn as much as I can about their domain. I stay up to date with technology, and have a keen eye on the new trends emerging. Keeping at the forefront of innovation enables me to apply new and fresh ideas to business problems. I have led a number of cloud transitions, including AWS and Azure, but most recently a significant GCP migration with a full microservices rearchitecture. I understand the value in harnessing the power of data. Whether it’s being fed into AI models, providing business insight or appeasing regulators, Consistent, Accurate and Timely data is paramount in fuelling digital growth. Outside of work I keep very active. I have a passion for renovating houses, although with 2 children, I am less hands on that I used to be. I try to visit my gym most days, and being a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I tend to keep my wellbeing nicely balanced with my busy work-life.
