About Chris Birney

Chris Birney, Senior business development and customer success professional with a 20-year track record in securing new business and growing client accounts in the credit, financial services, and fintech sectors. He has held strategic business development and leadership roles, particularly in product, technology, and IT services, at household names like Experian and Equifax as well as scale-ups like Provenir. His growing network of industry contacts and ability to influence decision makers has led him to significantly drive business value and secure multi-million-pound deals. During his two years at Provenir, he secured several new business deals valued at over £1m and, while at Transunion, he exceeded targets of £4m per annum in three successive years. He heads up Sales and Client Success for UK & Ireland at Render. He has worked in the Lending, Credit, and Technology sector for the past 25 years and has worked for all of the major Credit Reference Agency providers in the UK managing strategic relationships. He lives in Nottingham and enjoys spending time with his family and cycling in the Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire countryside.
