I’m excited to officially share that I recently joined The Demex Group (https://thedemexgroup.com/) as Head of Insurance. This is an extraordinary organization with extremely high-level talent reinventing risk management, by operating at the intersection of banking and insurance. At our core, we are a technology company that has pioneered a new paradigm to customize and deliver climate resilient risk solutions on a global scale. Climate change is one of the greatest financial risks and opportunities facing businesses today. Extreme weather leads to dramatic fluctuations in revenue, commodity prices and other operational costs. Yet existing risk management approaches were built for a different world and are ill-equipped to reliably provide financial security. As Head of Insurance, the intersection of climate/weather, insurance and technology drives my focus. We have built a first-of-its-kind platform for analyzing, pricing, and transferring global climate-linked risks at scale, and provide easy-to-understand analyses of localized climate spanning multiple weather variables including summer-heat, winter-chill, rainfall, and snowfall. Our Budget Defender insurance products are structured on a parametric basis and are currently focused on snowfall removal and rain expense…but several other weather-related products are under development. We are actively pursuing our corporate insurance licensing and I look forward to working with all of you very shortly. Cross-functional operational experience.
