About Assaf Shamia

Assaf Shamia is an Investment Principal based in the Munich office of Siemens Venture Capital (SVC). He focuses on investments in advanced manufacturing, energy and clean technologies, predominantly in European companies. Before joining Siemens in 2015, Assaf worked at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship at the Munich University of Applied Science. Between 2001 and 2008 Assaf was a principal at Carmel Ventures, one of Israel’s premier venture capital funds, focusing on web and software investments. Prior to his venture capital career, Assaf worked as a product manager and software developer for several software startups including NetRM inc. and Peldec Decision Systems. Assaf Shamia holds a bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science from Tel­-Aviv University and an MBA from INSEAD, France. Early Stage VC investor based in Munich, Germany, partner at G+D Ventures.
