Arie joined Hollard Insurance Company in June 2011 taking ownership of Non-Motor Claims Procurement, Supply Chain Quality Assurance, Procurement Customer Relationship Management, Procurement Operations, Hollard Select Brokers Procurement and Hollard Life Procurement.
From September 2014 Arie's responsibility’s extended to Commercial, Personal Lines and Corporate claims as Head of Claims: Hollard Broker Markets (HBM). His leadership responsibilities included South African claims operations (24 branches, 50 plus full outsourced claim binders, specialist lines and large and complex losses). In addition to these responsibilities he was also accountable for HBM tourism and hospitality claims globally and motor specialized claims services (assessing, salvage, parts sourcing, stolen an recovered vehicles and investigations).
As of November 2017 and with the establishment of Hollard Insure, Arie was appointed as Head: Motor Claims for the newly combined three short term insurance businesses (Hollard Personal Lines, Hollard Broker Markets and Regent Insurance). Arie took ownership of all the motor claims and related specialist claims functions for Hollard Insure (strategy, execution, operations, systems and people).
As of November 2019 Arie's responsibilities were extended to non motor claims and all claims cost control functions for Hollard Insure.
Arie is a guest speaker at public events relating to sourcing, supply chain, claims processing and cost controls such as assessing, investigations, salvage, recoveries, liabilities, robotics, artificial intellegance, advanced analytics, actuarial modeling, automation, IOT, digital, machine learning, financial modeling, legal and advanced fraud detection outcomes.
Arie's qualifications: Higher Certificate in Insurance, Bachelor in Police Science Major in law. Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply United Kingdom, (qualification MCIPS). Strategy through the University of Pretoria, Gordon's Institute of Business Studies South Africa. He also concluded a honors degree in business leadership and operations through the University of Reading (United Kingdom) Henley Business School Africa.
His network, focusing on loss ratio management, the client, people, operations, risk, strategy, logistics and efficiencies, extends globally.
