About Anurag Bajaj

Anurag Bajaj, Experienced Financial Institutions banker leading a global team of 250+ coverage professionals. Under Anurag’s leadership, the team has developed multi-product relationships across the C-suite of clients, growing the business at 12+% CAGR to a third of the Corporate and Institutional Bank. Anurag has experience managing highly regulated businesses, remediating risks and designing controls to scale up for growth. He has led the incubation of the Fintech practice within Standard Chartered, which has become the fastest growing institutional business in the bank. The business leverages our capabilities in digital banking, cross border payments and digital assets and serves global and regional fintechs operating in the Banks’ footprint. These new economy clients include payment processors, retail and business wallet providers, merchant acquirers and digital asset firms. Anurag Bajaj has also led the remediation of the Banks businesses, leading it out of a consent order with US and UK regulatory authorities. Anurag is responsible for delivering Standard Chartered’s Correspondent Banking strategy, supporting our global network with careful attention to the risk issues uniquely impacting this business. As the head of the Americas Transaction Banking business, he leads a team responsible for developing and implementing trade, cash and securities services propositions for Standard Chartered’s Corporate and Financial Institution clients. Prior to this, Anurag was Head of Sales for the Correspondent Banking business. He has also worked in Product Management with responsibility for Standard Chartered’s Clearing and Liquidity Management products across 38 markets – ensuring the provision of payments, collections and liquidity management services for institutional clients. Anurag Bajaj holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
