Anne Finucane, As Vice Chairman of Bank of America, Chairman of the board of Bank of America Europe, and a member the executive management team, Anne Finucane is responsible for the corporate strategy of the company; the bank’s sustainable business initiatives, environmental, social and governance, capital deployment; and global public policy efforts, and its €60 billion balance sheet in Europe. Previously she also led global marketing, data and analytics, and communications.
Anne Finucane leads the company’s $300 billion environmental business initiative, and its $1.6 billion CDFI portfolio. She co-chairs the Sustainable Markets Committee with the Chief Operating Officer, focused on growing more than $50 billion in financing annually, consistent with the UN SDGs. She also leads the company’s $1 billion commitment to advance racial equality and economic opportunity in communities across the nation.
As global marketing and strategy officer for more than a decade, under her leadership the company was the #1 financial services brand. After the financial crisis, she was instrumental in restoring its brand and reputation. She instituted the use of sophisticated data and analytics, overseeing a team focused on client behavior to identify business opportunities and drive high-yielding marketing activities. The team improved credit card sales, and developed successful segmentation strategies for the company’s 8 lines of business and brand awareness for its global businesses. She also spearheaded an influencer strategy grounded in a consistent narrative and proof points that improved perception of the bank.
Regularly named to Forbes, Fortune, and American Banker’s Most Powerful Women lists, in 2019 Anne Finucane was inducted into the AAF’s Ad Hall of Fame and received the Edward M. Kennedy Institute Award for Inspired Leadership.
Anne Finucane serves on the board of CVS Health and on several non-profit boards including Carnegie Hall, Mass General Brigham Healthcare, the (RED) Advisory Board, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
