About Andrew Hedley

Andrew Hedley has held very senior roles within risk management across the banking, asset management, and insurance sectors, including Head of Front Office Risk at Vanguard and Global Chief Risk Officer at Enstar. Currently, he serves on several Executive Committees and Boards, advising them on their risk strategies. His ambition for Novatus Advisory was to bring nearly 20 years of front-line risk experience to firms, helping them realize a greater return on investment from their risk management spend. He was always frustrated working with generalist consultants, so he aims to offer clients something far more meaningful. More recently, he has led wide-ranging ESG projects for firms and was seconded as the Global Head of ESG to one of their key clients. Similar to risk, Novatus offers something far more impactful for firms compared to high-level, generic propositions that add little to no value. He welcomes the opportunity to discuss any risk, ESG, or regulation-related matters. Andrew Hedley also led Risk teams at Prudential and M&G. Whilst working at Deloitte, Andrew Hedley led risk framework development and implementation for banks and asset managers in both London and New York.​ He started his career in Terrorism Underwriting at Hiscox and holds a Master’s in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
