About Ali Abdel Jabbar

Ali Abdel Jabbar is the CEO of MEPS (Middle East Payment Services) Jordan, a leading regional payment solution provider offering third party processing, ATM management, merchant acquiring, e-payment gateway solutions, mobile wallets, and value-added services. Ali has over 18 years of diverse experience in the payments, consumer finance, micro-finance, banking and financial technology sector gained through leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, multi-nationals, and financial institutions in both the US and Middle East. Prior to MEPS, Ali Abdel Jabbar was the CEO of Tamweelcom, an award-winning leading microfinance institution in Jordan serving over 90,000 unbanked and under banked clients with focus on income generating projects. Prior to that, Ali Abdel Jabbar was the Regional Manager for the Dubai based online payment gateway startup Telr, a natural progression from his role as VISA International’s Country Manager for Jordan, Palestine, and Iraq. Prior to VISA, Ali was VP at Arab Bank’s global consumer bank, responsible for segment specific product, sales, and service strategy across the Gulf, Levant, and North African region. Before returning to Jordan in 2009, Ali Abdel Jabbar spent 10 years in the US working in the credit card industry developing data driven customer lifecycle, portfolio management, and risk-based pricing solutions for US card market leaders. Ali Abdel Jabbar is also a board member in MEPS Iraq and MEPS Palestine.
