Zurich’s Ericson Chan Discusses The Zurich Innovation Championship
In a recent interview at Zurich’s Offices, we spoke with Ericson Chan, Group Chief Information & Digital Officer at Zurich, about the Zurich Innovation Championship and how it’s transforming the insurance industry.
“[The Championship] is very much inspired by [the] World Cup. So far, out of the last two, three years, we got 4,000, 5,000 applicants already. So we continue to work with a number of them and embedded their ideas into our business and products.”
“[It’s] not only just finding the best, it’s partly like a matchmaking process, but also its acceleration. We find the best ideas, approach, [and] technology and match them with our customer’s need, our business need. So often sometimes we find, for example, a Dutch startup working with our Swiss business and an American startup matching with our Brazilian business.”
