Vistra Strengthens U.S. Fund Solutions Team With Strategic Hires, Signaling Continued Growth and Investment in North America

Vistra, a leading global provider of essential business services, today announced three new VP appointments to its U.S. Funds Solutions team – Alex McGillivary, Ira Schnell, and Vincent Rupp.

Alex will be key to tailoring Vistra’s services for real estate-focused clients. Ira and Vincent will support its clients’ growth ambitions by delivering strategic client-centric solutions, while ensuring service excellence. Collectively, the trio bring over 50 years’ experience across fund administration, real estate, capital markets and client relationship management – spanning hedge, private equity, venture capital and retail fund structures. Their complementary expertise will play a key role in advancing Vistra’s goal to deliver high-touch, tailored fund services to U.S. managers.

These appointments mark a continued investment in the U.S. market and build on the momentum from Vistra’s 2024 acquisition of Phoenix American’s Fund Administration and Transfer Agency business, and its newly branded Vistra Fund Solutions business.

Vistra Funds Solutions serve clients across private equity, real estate, venture capital, infrastructure, and retail alternatives. Its business proposition is laser-focused on supporting its fund manager clients with dedicated customized solutions across the investment lifecycle delivered by specialist teams. The addition of Alex, Ira, and Vincent strengthens the firm’s commitment to expanding its fund services platform in North America – one of the fastest-growing regions for alternative investment administration – and reinforces Vistra’s commitment to global growth.

“These hires mark a significant step forward in our U.S. growth strategy,” said Frank Anduiza, Managing Director, U.S. Funds at Vistra. “I’m delighted to welcome Ira, Vincent, and Alex to the team. Their deep industry knowledge and fresh perspectives will be instrumental as we execute our vision for a stronger, more agile U.S. platform.”

Vistra Fund Solutions has scaled its capabilities significantly over the past year following its integration with Phoenix American’s Fund Administration and Transfer Agency business. Today, the business offers a vertically integrated suite of services including fund administration, SPV management, and transfer agency solutions, underpinned by the proprietary STAR-XMS platform.

“Our investment in talent, technology, and local market expertise is about delivering long-term value to fund managers,” said Caroline Baker, Head of North America for Vistra Fund Solutions. “Ira, Vincent, and Alex will help us stay ahead of market demand and better support our clients as they navigate complex structures and global distribution.”
