Vienna And London Sign Life Science And FinTech Agreement
Vienna and London intensify their cooperation in the future areas of Life Sciences and Financial Technologies (FinTech). Mayor Michael Häupl and London Vice-Mayor Rajesh Agrawal presented a corresponding “City-to-City-Agreement” today, Wednesday, in the Red Salon of the Vienna City Hall.
Häupl praised the already “most diverse” relations of the metropolises on the Danube and the Thames and was pleased that “London and Vienna are now cooperating in the field of life sciences and FinTechs.” The Life Sciences, ie the life sciences, are a good example on how Vienna massively enhances and further enhances its importance as an international business location.
The agreement was signed by Gerhard Hirczi and Sabine Ohler of the Vienna Business Agency and Tony Margiotta on behalf of London & Partners. The signing also included British Ambassador Leigh Turner.
The City-to-City Agreement is a global network of cities working together to support corporate collaboration and economic growth. The aim is to strengthen the relationship between cities and to facilitate economic conditions for companies in the other country.
