Update 16 from bunq is on, here’s what you need to know

Dutch challenger bank bunq adds loyalty cards and bill sharing among other features in the latest update.

The app of bunq is usually getting upgraded with a number of new features with each update. With this update, bunq lets the customer to add all of their loyalty cards in one place.

As with Curve, they can be simply added to the app and the customer gets full access anytime, anywhere.

Customers are now able to add over 500 different stores to their bunq apps and use it even without the need of unlocking the phone screen.

Places is a new feature where bunq users may explore favorite spots of other bunq customers. “Explore all the hot spots you and your friends love! Visiting somewhere new? Use Places to find out where other bunqers have been and always enjoy the best hot spots in town! Share tips and enjoy great destinations together,” explains the company.

With the Inner circle feature the customer is also able to see where their friends have been spending their money recently as the feature also helps the user with splitting mutual bills.

SuperGreen premium users of bunq get a tree planted for every € 100 they spent. This is done through a partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects. With the new Easy Green Widget, the progress is now shared with another bunq user you may choose within the app.

Thanks to this feature, bunq planted 1,000,000 trees on Madagascar during 2020.
