United Traders Wins Startup Pitching Contest at the CryptoFriends Barcelona Netup

Izetex and Prosense clinched second and third place. All three won the opportunity to launch their ICOs at the Blockshow Asia in November

Crypto finance trading, local business marketing and Virtual Reality. These could be the industries to spawn the next huge ICO success stories. At least according to the audience at the latest event organised by CryptoFriends, the group of blockchain and crypto professionals known for their disruptive, high-end blockchain-related gatherings.

Ten of the most promising new blockchain startups convened at the trendy Purobeach venue in downtown Barcelona to pitch their projects to investors and crypto enthusiasts. They were joined by some of the blockchain world’s superstars, including Brock Pierce, Eyal Hertzog, Crystal Rose, Jason King, Eric Benz and Alex Baush, with all attendees invited to vote for their favourite pitch using a mechanism built with blockchain technology.

First place was claimed by United Traders, who aim to provide high end solutions for the crypto finance world. In second place was Izetex, a platform harnesses mobile gaming to help local businesses attract customers. The final place on the podium was taken by Prosense, the first global, decentralised platform for Virtual Reality content distribution.

The top three projects won themselves a guaranteed place at the exclusive ICO-Hypethon, held by CryptoFriends at Blockshow Asia in Singapore on 29-30 November. At the event, they will have the opportunity to launch their ICO in front of hundreds of potential investors.

Anatoly Radchenko, Managing Partner of United Traders, comments, “The ICO space is very exciting with a lot of opportunities, but it’s no secret that it can be a bit of minefield for investors. Our project is about bringing traditional trading standards and practices into the crypto world. Winning this contest helps us to realise we’re going in the right direction and we really appreciate the support of the community. We are very much looking forward to launching at the Singapore ICO-Hypethon, which will be a great meeting.

Eric Benz, MD of CryptoPay was moderating the event. He added, “It was fantastic to see so many great projects from a wide variety of industries, who are using blockchain in innovative and creative ways. United Traders, Izetex and Prosense all had solid roadmaps for their business and gave evidence that their projects were starting to get real traction in their respective markets. They may just be at the start of something very special and we wish them all the best of luck in Singapore.”

The CryptoFriends Barcelona Netup was sponsored by United Traders, Wepower, ICObench,  Eberhard Lindfordt and Stox
