In a year of firsts for British politics, new research commissioned across over 1,100 nationwide investors by peer-to-peer lender Kuflink has revealed which asset classes investors are turning to amidst the upcoming June election and Brexit, finding:
- Snap General Election and Brexit build-up impact UK investors more than ANY other political events this lifetime
- 9 million investors across the nation turn to property investments due to its perceived strength in times of uncertainty
- A more cautious approach sweeps the nation, with nearly 40% of UK investors favouring ‘safe-haven’ investment classes
- June election pauses financial decisions, with 11 million investors less inclined to pursue newer investment classes
