UK FinTech Census 2019 – FinTechs urged to help shape future UK strategy
EY and Innovate Finance are calling on FinTech firms to take part in an online census to help map the current state of the UK FinTech sector, helping shape future government policy.
The last census took place in 2017 and again officials at HM Treasury are keen to use this data to inform their support for the FinTech Sector. The online census takes about 10 minutes to complete and will allow policymakers some insight into the shape and size of the sector. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, 8 March 2019.
Tom Bull, UK Head of FinTech at EY, commented: “Data from the 2017 census was extremely useful in supporting the development of HM Treasury’s UK FinTech strategy. We’d like even more FinTechs to take part this year and complete the survey before the 8th March deadline. Given the changes in technology, investment in the sector and the possible impact of Brexit, the census will be invaluable in helping the sector as a whole, as well as international investors and domestic policymakers.”
