Solidatus expands senior team with round of multiple hires
Solidatus, the leader in metadata management software, today announces a round of strategic hires in support of its recent growth and the significant acceleration of its ambitious business vision, during its most successful year to date.
John Tobin joins following 15 years at Goldman Sachs, taking up his role as Data Architect at Solidatus. Previously a Senior Engineer within Goldman Sachs’ Data Governance department, Tobin is now responsible for designing and implementing models for the Solidatus portfolio of reference model assets, as well as supporting strategic sales and data governance implementations of the software to tier 1 clients.
Elizabeth Squire joins as Director of Business Development for government, responsible for driving Solidatus’ public sector growth and alignment. Squire previously held roles internally at the MOD in human resource management and data analysis. With a track record of successful negotiation and stakeholder buy-in to deliver complex MOD projects and leadership roles within the Royal Navy, she recently led Solidatus’ involvement in the UK government’s FCA DataSprint initiative and will be developing opportunities for the business in the Public Sector.
David Pinto is appointed as a Director of Business Development for financial services, joining the team from cloud platform and software development firm Pivotal where he ran the platform architecture team. Pinto brings 20 years’ management, tech, pre-sales and consultancy expertise to the business, as well as experience in solution-building, hardware infrastructure and software architecture for large-scale enterprise systems.
Mark Garbett, also Director of Business Development for financial services, will be focused on driving forward the metadata management specialism within the business. As well as driving the business development strategy in the UK and other territories, Garbett will be building long-term client relationships and supporting data management objectives, primarily with Financial Services clients. He joins from roles at Varonis and Mimecast.
The dual business development hires of Pinto and Garbett are part of the company’s tech-aligned sales development strategy.
Philip Miller, CEO and co-founder of Solidatus said: “The new hires come at a time where the business is at an inflection point for growth and vital expansion into new territories and we needed to grow our team in the UK to achieve this. The four people we are bringing into the business – Elizabeth, John, David and Mark – are some of the best in their fields and we are incredibly proud to have them join our ranks.”
