She Loves Tech: World’s largest start-up competition and accelerator programme for women entrepreneurs is back
She Loves Tech (SLT), the world’s largest start-up competition and accelerator programme for women entrepreneurs, is back for its annual competition. The competition seeks to close the funding gap for female entrepreneurs and provide them with investments through its network of world-class investors.
This year, SLT is increasing its offering by enabling investors to assess and evaluate a curated list of start-ups. The platform will allow founders to showcase their innovation, interact with peers, and access important resources to educate and collaborate.
The five month-long competition will culminate at the SLT Conference on 11 November 2022, an annual thought leadership summit where changemakers, thought-leaders and entrepreneurs will gather in Singapore ahead of the final championship round of the competition.
More than $500,000 in prizes are up for grabs, including:
- $15,000 Cash Prize from Teja Ventures + $10,000 Cash Prize from ADB Ventures
- Up to $100,000 direct Investment from SLT Fund
- Mentorship from top investors and tech influencers
- Fast track access to programs and resources and in-house advisory services
- Access to a global community of founders and investors and global media coverage
Commenting on the competition, Rhea See, co-founder of SLT, said: “This year, we are seeing a surge in femtech start-ups, and a far more diverse mix of start-ups beyond fintech and SAAS. We have more submissions focused on Web 3.0, creator economy, disability, pet-related, age-related verticals. It won’t be easy to shortlist from a very exciting and wide mix of tech designed to make real impact.”
The SLT start-up competition has already received over 700 entries this year from twelve countries across Southeast Asia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. More applications are expected with the deadline for Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand fast approaching on 12 September 2022.
Virginia Tan, founding partner of Teja Ventures & co-founder of SLT, added: “This year, every SLT finalist will have an opportunity to receive direct investment from the SLT fund and potential co-investments from our affiliate funds. Teja Ventures will continue to support She Loves Tech, which we have done since 2019.”
