RSA extends communication contract with Vodafone

RSA, the leading international insurer, today announced that it has extended its current IT communications contract with Vodafone, the telecommunications provider, for a further five years.

As part of the contract, Vodafone will upgrade RSA’s existing telecommunications and network systems for its 10,000 employees in the UK and Western Europe. The new systems, the first of which is due to be in place by the end of this year, will have more agile and secure infrastructures and bring together fixed and mobile technologies to enable the business to respond more effectively to the changing needs of customers and employees. The contract will also cover the management and support of RSA’s IT network and telephony systems including the development of a cloud based contact centre as well as the introduction of new video conferencing services.

RSA and Vodafone have been working together since 2007. The decision to renew the partnership was made following an extensive tender process which involved a number of other companies.

We’ve had a very successful relationship with the company over the last eight years and we look forward to working with them.”

Vodafone Global Enterprise Chief Executive Jan Geldmacher added: “RSA has a strong vision for its future and we are delighted to be working with them to make that vision a reality.
