Revolut’s CEO Nik Storonsky is the first Fintech billionaire

Nikolay Storonsky is listed on the top of the Telegraph’s “Tech Hot 100” for the first time with an estimated wealth of £1.06bn.

Seven years ago Storonsky came up with the idea for the online bank together with Vladislav Yatsenko, and Revolut was live in 2015.

Previously, the estimated Storonsky’s stake in Revolut was about £363m, but with the new data from the Telegraph, his net worth has nearly tripled to £1.06bn.

Revolut was recently valued at $ 5.5 billion, despite posting more than £ 100 million in a loss in 2019.

Other Fintech personalities have also made the TOP 10 list with Kristo Käärmann, CEO and co-founder TransferWise having an estimated net worth of £768m being the second place.

Rishi Khosla from OakNorth having £650m, reaching fourth place. Taavet Hinrikus from TransferWise with £529m ending up fifth. Joel Perlman from OakNorth reaching ninth £200m

Revolut’s co-founder Vlad Yatsenko was closing the TOP 10, ending up in the tenth place with a worth of £188m. in fintech incubator Level 39 back in 2015 and has since grown the fintech to have over 13 million customers worldwide.

Nikolay Storonsky studied physics and economics in Moscow and was a swimming master in his home country of Russia. Now employs more than 1,600 people in London and is one of the biggest names on the Fintech scene.
