Railsbank makes FinTech50 list for third year running

CEO NIGEL VERDON ONLY FOUNDER TO HAVE MADE EACH LIST SINCE ITS CREATION

Railsbank Technology (“Railsbank”), a leading global open banking and RegTech platform, announces that it has made the FinTech50 list for the third consecutive time. It was named in 2017 and 2018.

Railsbank co-founder and CEO Nigel Verdon is also the only founder to have made each list since it was created in 2012. Three times with Railsbank, which he co-founded with Clive Mitchell and three times with the previous company Nigel founded, Currency Cloud.

The FinTech50 2019 is an annual list of Europe’s most influential financial startups and is organised by FinTechCity. It is  selected from over 2,000 fintechs across Europe and was the first list worldwide to recognise fintech for innovation. Seven years on, the list of the 50 hottest fintechs in Europe is viewed worldwide by investors, financial services organizations, global tech giants, influencers and innovators.

Nigel Verdon, Railsbank co-founder and CEO, said: “It is always a great honour to be named on the FinTech50 list and it is especially pleasing that this is our third year on the list. This reflects all the hard work from the team at Railsbank and how far we have come over the last three years.

Railsbank has just completed a $10m Series A funding round, led by Moneta Capital and joined by CreditEase, Clocktower Technology Ventures, Singapore Life and existing investors including Firestartr. It also announced the opening of an office in Singapore.

Railsbank is an API based financial innovation and growth platform, designed for developers and product managers to rapidly conceptualise, prototype, build, launch and scale a financial services business, whether it be in one country, or around the world.

The Railsbank platform is unique in that it goes beyond technology to also provide financial services operations and regulation for customers. Railsbank conceive of the platform as a “complete financial services utility” enabling any customer to build, launch and operate their financial services business rapidly and safely.
