Pleo Hires Former IBM and CrowdStrike Executives To Drive Growth Plans Across Europe

Pleo – one of Europe’s leading business spending solutions – today announces two new appointments to its senior leadership team – Raymond Hüner and Dean Eggleton. Hüner takes on the role of SVP Head of Regions with Eggleton joining as Head of RevOps. Eggleton is based in London with Hüner based in Amsterdam.

Hüner was previously General Manager at MessageBird, Freshworks, IBM, HP and LinkedIn – gaining extensive experience in overseeing and developing companies from a multidisciplinary perspective across business, financial, HR and legal departments. Hüner has a proven track record of building and scaling sales teams at pace, with digital revolutionisation and business model transformation both key areas of expertise.

Eggleton is an experienced startup executive helping international businesses scale around the world. He has previously worked at CrowdStrike, Cybereason, Tanium and Salesforce.com in a variety of roles covering global revenue operations, field operations as well as sales and marketing. At Pleo, his focus will be providing enterprise stakeholders with the required information and intelligence to make better business decisions. His team’s efforts will centre on resolving any problems or bottlenecks so that the business can be more efficient and get to revenue quicker.

Arun Mani, Chief Revenue Officer at Pleo, commented: “I know I speak for the entire Pleo team when I say that we are incredibly excited about Raymond and Dean joining us. While the spend management vertical is flush with healthy competition at present, Pleo has the product, brand, team and agility to maintain its position as one of Europe’s leading business spending solutions. Raymond and Dean are the perfect additions to help us achieve our mission to simplify business payments, and to support our ambitious initiatives that will accelerate our growth, expand our product portfolio and build on our momentum to reach even more businesses throughout Europe.”

Pleo’s latest appointments come at a moment of strong growth for the company, which now supports more than 25,000 businesses across 16 European countries. Pleo is one of Europe’s leading FinTech startups in Europe, and achieved unicorn status in 2021, when it raised $350 million in Series C funding.
