GetYourGuide and Primer team up to deliver payment innovation for the experience economy
Primer, the unified infrastructure for payments and commerce, and GetYourGuide, the global platform for discovering and booking travel experiences, have joined forces to drive payment innovation in the experience economy by delivering localized payments and boosting payment performance for travelers around the world.
As travelers continue to spend more on travel experiences, contributing to an industry that is expected to hit $375 billion by the end of 2024, the market is not only rapidly expanding but also becoming increasingly digitized. With 142% growth in mobile bookings between 2022 and 2023, GetYourGuide stands at the forefront of this digital transformation. GetYourGuide’s decision to partner with Primer comes on the back of their $194 funding announcement to accelerate global expansion and drive product innovation. With the help of Primer, the organization aims to unlock further growth by embracing the next generation of smarter payments. Leveraging Primer’s payment acceptance, optimisation, and intelligence capabilities, GetYourGuide also plans to use its latest innovation, UpliftAI. Delivering the highest possible authorisation rate across its processors, UpliftAI maximizes payment success rates and enhances the overall experience for the end-user.
