Checkout.com Appointed as NetEase Games Global Acquiring Partner

Checkout.com, a leading global payment solution provider, announced today a partnership with NetEase Games, the online games division of NetEase, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTES and HKEX: 9999) and a leading global developer and publisher of video game IP for their international payment operations. Leveraging Checkout.com’s extensive experience in cross-border payments and global acquiring capabilities, the collaboration will accelerate the global and commercial expansion of NetEase Games.

According to data released by Sensor Tower, in May 2023, 43 Chinese game developers rank in the top 100 highest-earning global mobile publishers, generating a combined revenue of $2.1 billion. This confirms the increasingly prominent position of Chinese game developers in the global mobile gaming market, with international expansion the new frontier for growth. Successful international expansion requires effective localization, social features, and a comprehensive range of popular payment integration, which play a vital role in any effective game monetization strategy.
