Angela Knight Joins 3S Money Board of Directors, Bringing Extensive Financial Expertise

3S Money is excited to announce the appointment of Angela Knight to its Board of Directors.

With a distinguished career spanning various global roles in the financial sector, Angela brings invaluable expertise and insight to the organisation. As the current head of Risk and Compliance at 3S Money, Angela has already demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication. Before joining 3S Money, Angela held key positions at Standard Chartered Bank, where her influence extended across Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.

In her new role on the Board, Angela will play a pivotal role in guiding 3S Money’s strategic direction, leveraging her extensive experience to drive innovation and excellence within the organisation.

“I am honoured to join the Board of 3S Money,” said Angela Knight. “3S Money has already made incredible strides in connecting the worldwide payment methods. I look forward to driving further innovation and global growth, and making 3S Money an integral part of global cross-border money movement. I look forward to leveraging my extensive expertise in risk and compliance to enhance 3S Money’s current compliance culture and help the business drive further innovations on a global scale.”

CEO Ivan expressed his enthusiasm for Angela’s appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Angela to our Board. Her wealth of experience and strategic vision will strengthen our leadership team and propel us towards our ambitious goals. Angela’s track record in transforming and scaling businesses is exceptional. She’s been a part of many banks and fintechs alike, and I’m looking forward to her being a part of the mission to make cross-border payments accessible for everyone, no matter their passport colour.”

Financial Services continues to be a male-dominated sector, with women significantly underrepresented at the board level. A 2022 Deloitte report stated that women in financial services firms held just 21% of board seats, 19% of C-suite roles, and 5% of CEO positions in 2021. We’re committed to challenging this status quo and spearheading change within the industry. Our commitment to inclusivity shines through, not only in our mission to serve businesses worldwide regardless of their origin but also in our hiring and the diversity within our team.
