Paul Marsden is Business Development Director at Teachers Building Society

Paul Marsden has been appointed as Business Development Director at Teachers Building Society.

Following two years as Interim Finance Director at Teachers Building Society and the permanent appointment of Rajesh Patel as Finance Director, Paul will be taking responsibility for the strategic direction of the organisation’s business development within the intermediary space.

Paul’s experience includes nine years as Chief Executive at Harpenden Building Society and the prior six years as its Finance Director. Paul was also previously a Managing Director at Bank and Clients PLC, a newly formed challenger bank in the City.

Paul said, “I’m really looking forward to this new role, utilising my experience to accelerate the growth of the already thriving intermediary network at Teachers Building Society. I will be focusing on developing the relationships with key intermediary partners and building a long term plan for further growth, working in conjunction with our internal intermediary team.”

Simon Beresford, Chief Executive of Teachers Building Society said, “Following the appointment of Rajesh Patel as our new Finance Director, it felt natural to transition Paul over to the business development remit of the organisation. In addition to finance, Paul’s strengths lie in establishing mutually beneficial relationships with intermediaries and key business stakeholders alike and we look forward to seeing his plans for the future take shape and come into fruition as he settles into this new position.”
