New Payment Platform Enables Givergy to give more to Charities

Givergy announces integration with Stripe Connect

Givergy, the fundraising technology platform which helped raise over £45 million for more than 1500 causes in 2016, has unveiled its new integration with Stripe Connect.

Givergy’s integration with the Stripe Connect marketplace system allows for a seamless centralised payment experience from the Givergy headquarters in the UK to territories all over the world including USA, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong, accepting payments in 136 currencies. In addition, the new platform enhances the service to charities by allowing faster and easier fund transfers to the respective charities, raised through live event and online auctions.

Following fundraising events or online campaigns, charities will now get paid automatically at the end of their payment collection period into their very own secure sub-account. This is a testament to the company’s ethos of going above and beyond to ensure that charities receive as much funding as possible so they can continue their charitable work.

Stripe is a leading payment platform, processing billions of pounds for businesses around the world. This integration enhances Givergy’s ability to provide best-in-class customer service, eliminating any risk of delayed charity payment by removing Givergy as the aggregator as well as the need for manual reconciliation.

Rachael Kirkham, Head of Client Services, said: “Stripe is fundamentally changing the way we work with our charity partners. Anyone in the world can donate or participate in an auction at any point in time and the charity will receive their funds raised quicker and fully reconciled than ever before.”

Furthermore, Givergy’s COO, Jon Douglas added: “To put it simply, Stripe will revolutionise the efficiency with which we connect the consumer and charity. This integration was not only a necessary step in improving our business here in the UK, but is integral to our ambitions abroad. By having one payment platform for all territories we can continue to deliver outstanding results for all existing and future clients.”
