MoonPay and Airtm Join Forces to Tackle Financial Inclusion in Latin America

Airtm, the world’s most connected digital dollar account, and MoonPay, the world’s leading Web3 infrastructure company, have entered into a strategic partnership that will provide entrepreneurs in Latin America with the tools they need to succeed in the global marketplace.

According to a study by the World Bank, only 54% of adults in Latin America have a bank account, and 90% of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region report having difficulty accessing credit. This lack of financial inclusion can be a major barrier for freelancers and entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.

To address this problem, MoonPay and Airtm have joined forces, combining Airtm‘s world’s most connected digital dollar account with MoonPay‘s leading Web3 infrastructure. This strategic partnership provides entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed in the global marketplace.

With this integration, Airtm users can now add funds from various sources, including Google Pay, Apple Pay, European and UK banks, and debit and credit cards in 150 countries. MoonPay customers, on the other hand, can tap into Airtm‘s extensive network and presence in Latin America, providing new connections and possibilities in this thriving market.

“Digital entrepreneurs worldwide are often hindered by a lack of financial security and stability, which affects their ability to take control of their finances and succeed in the online marketplace,” says Rubén Galindo, CEO and co-founder of Airtm. “This partnership aims to empower entrepreneurs worldwide by providing them with greater access to financial security and stability, simply by connecting to the internet.”

Bree Blazak, Vice President of Partnerships at MoonPay, emphasizes that the digital payments revolution and access to information will soon eliminate the limitations imposed by a geographic location, stating that “Soon our postal code will not define who we are or what we can achieve.”

This strategic integration not only strengthens the infrastructure and development of new products for both platforms but also promotes financial stability through new payment methods that are now available worldwide. Airtm‘s multi-country payment capabilities, which currently span more than 190 countries and over 400 payment methods, give users the flexibility and convenience they need to succeed.

Whether you’re a digital entrepreneur, freelancer, or small business owner, this integration offers an exciting opportunity to connect with the global market and achieve financial freedom.
