Monzo Moves from Beta to Public Launch in the US
Today, Monzo is moving out of closed beta and opening Monzo to customers across America! The wait(list) is over – if you want a Monzo account, just download the app and apply. If you’re eligible, you could have your account up and running in 10 minutes.
Over the past 18 months, they have onboarded thousands of new customers in the US, processed millions of dollars of transactions, and worked closely with their community to get as much feedback on their product as possible.
The community gave an amazing insight into the problems they face in their financial lives, and the feedback directly led Monzo to launch features like salary sorter. It’s now easy to divide up your paycheck in a few taps, so your spending, savings and bills are neatly separated as soon as you get paid.
Monzo also talked to many of you, whether as part of their community events, in customer research calls, or through customer support.
Monzo makes money work for everyone
Monzo wants to be the center of your financial life, taking away all the admin and worry related to your finances. Spending, saving and managing money shouldn’t be stressful or complicated, it should just work. Monzo will make it easier to put aside money for an emergency, to pay your bills or to save for a specific goal, and their simple tools will make it easy to set up and stick to a budget.
Back in the UK, They has over 5 million customers – but it’s not just about the number of people with Monzo accounts. They don’t believe it’s possible to build a globally impactful company without considering the impact they have on the communities they serve. Too many people around the world lack access to vital banking services. So they’re also working to improve financial inclusion, support customers in vulnerable circumstances, and play their part in creating a more just society.
Monzo believes that their values of openness, empathy and inclusion will help achieve their mission of making money work for everyone.
