Monese Announces Appointment of Chief Product Officer

Monese, the leading pan-European fintech, today announces the appointment of Alistair Bennett to Chief Product Officer.

Alistair Bennett has over 20 years experience in product and financial services. He has an outstanding track-record in product, technology platform, and digital transformation, and has worked with fintechs, top-tier banks, and payment service providers. Alistair was previously a transformation director at Premium Credit Limited, delivering product to optimise the company’s revenue and profit objectives. Prior to that Alistair supported a global payments business in its pivot to new markets. He has held roles at Barclays, Thomson Reuters, UBS, Lloyds Bank, RBS Group and Mazars as a change lead, consultant and advisor.

Alistair will be responsible for taking Monese’s product capability to the next level and delivering outstanding customer experiences, integral to Monese’s next stage of growth. He also joins Monese’s Leadership Team, subject to FCA approval.

Monese’s appointment of Alistair marks another major step in the strengthening of the fintech’s Leadership Team and technical expertise. The appointment comes after Monese’s consumer and BaaS platforms have gone from strength to strength. In February 2022 Monese launched its Credit Builder and announced that more credit products will be coming soon to its mobile money app. The company also launched its Banking-as-a-Service platform and announced a new strategic partnership with Investec Bank plc in September 2021. As part of the strategic partnership, Investec led the first close of Monese’s Series C.
